Dropel Fabrics: From Guest, to Member, to Tenant
We first met CEO and Founder of Dropel Fabrics, Sim Gulati, when New York Fashion Tech Lab chose Space 530 to host their 2015 lab class. As a selected company for the competitive 12-week program, Dropel worked on creating high-performance natural fabrics to redefine customer experience. Little did he know this would be his work-home for the next four years.
Dropel develops performance-based natural, cotton fibers through material science and process technology. The instant connection between Dropel’s mission and Space 530’s clean and innovative atmosphere lead Sim to sign up for a coworking membership. Sim shares, "Dropel has transformed from a mere concept to a fully functioning company with the help of Space 530. Their resources and location in the heart of the fashion district has made it possible to develop our business and grow our team into a new office environment that allows us to interact more directly with brand partners and investors.”
Sim and his team have proudly outgrown the coworking membership and are taking the next step within Space 530 – a dedicated private office. We love to see our members and tenants grow and be alongside them in their journey up the corporate ladder. The feeling is mutual when Sim says, “we’re thrilled to call Space 530 Home!”
